Davis County Emergency Management
|
EMERGENCY ROAD CONDITION PROCEDURES: Following are the emergency procedures: DISPATCH: You will be asked to provide the best route to your residence or location of emergency as well as your 911 address. The best route is not necessarily the shortest route, but the one with the best passable roads. Please remember that poor road conditions may increase response time of emergency vehicles. Call for assistance at the first onset of a serious health issue or emergency situation. FIRE: Fire response protocol has been changed to include two departments from different areas to be dispatched upon a 911 call. All county fire departments will initially respond with four-wheel drive fire trucks. MEDICAL: Davis County Emergency Medical Services will respond with support vehicles to transport staff and emergency equipment. If you have a health condition that may require emergency services and are concerned about emergency response time, you might consider temporarily relocating to a more accessible location. Public Health; Home and Community Health staff will schedule appointments with clients in rural areas early in the mornings while roads are accessible. Clients will be contacted as schedules change due to travel limitations. LAW ENFORCEMENT: Davis County law enforcements personnel will be dispatched to all emergency situations at the time of the 911 call to assist with transportation issues. SCHOOLS: Davis County Schools are running buses on hard surfaces only until roads become passable.
