The County will replace the damaged mailbox with a 4”x 4” treated wooden post and a mailbox approved by the United States Postal Service. The post, and/or box will be installed by the County in the manor and location approved by the Postal Service.
or
In lieu of the County installing the mailbox, the property owner will be given the opportunity of a $35 cash payment and assume the responsibility of installing the mailbox to current Postal Service standards.
This policy will replace the references to mailbox replacement in the County Snow Removal Policy, Section 3 as approved by the Board on March 18th, 1996 and all other existing mailbox policies upon the approval and signatures of the Davis County Board of Supervisors.
